An introductory 1-day course whether you are a beginner or somewhat experienced professional in the field of sign-making, wrapping or conversion. Get familiar with the different types of self-adhesives films and the essential requirements for successfully applying these materials. Learn how to best prepare and clean substrates, how to effectively apply the films, which challenges you could face and how to handle them, and how to professionally perform all necessary finishing work to ensure a convincing result.

• Including lunch, refreshments, materials and tools for hands-on experience

What will you learn:
• Understand the different categories of Self Adhesive films and their characteristics
• Cleaning and surface preparation
• Cutting techniques — basic flat
• Squeegee Techniques
• Corrugation feeding techniques
• Basic 3D installations techniques

Materials used: Avery Dennison 900 SC film, MPI1104/MPI1105 with cast laminates.

NOTE: If you are interested in becoming an Avery Dennison Specialist Installer, it is recommended to follow the Essentials training before the Specialist Installer certification (SI Audit) to help increase the chance of passing.

Carlos has been an Avery Dennison Specialist Trainer for over 13 years, but he has been in the industry for more than 27 years. Carlos Ruiz and Penelope Garrido are proud owners of ALTA WRAPPING ACADEMY, a leading center for the training of sign makers and applicators in Spain and the official AD Wrap Center of AVERY DENNISON SPAIN. Carlos is known for his mastery in imparting knowledge, he is a stickler for detail, and he is demanding in his classes. An expert at recognizing the qualities and abilities of each participant, he manages to extract the maximum potential from each of them.

Penelope is the first and, so far, the only female Specialist Trainer of Avery Dennison and has over 27 years of experience in the industry. Penelope Garrido and Carlos Ruiz, are responsible for ALTA WRAPPING ACADEMY which is the official Avery Dennison training center in Spain. Penelope teaches with her own style, brings closeness and confidence to the attendees and makes everyone feel comfortable, so they can open their minds to learning and acquire new techniques and tricks that make them become wrap professionals.
